Description

The Stuart 10H is a development from the popular 10V Engine. It is more than capable of ‘doing work’ and can easily power a small dynamo or pump.

This small horizontal engine offers both power when run at high speed and visual interest when operated at slow crankshaft speeds.

Condition

The engine has been very well made probably from a Stuart machined kit. It is nicely painted with only a few marks, it turns over smoothly and runs very well on compressed air. It has the optional brass cylinder drain taps and oil cups.

Specification

Cast Iron: Boxbed, soleplate, cylinder, valve chest and cover, top and bottom cylinder covers, flywheel.

Brass: Slide valve, piston, connecting rod, eccentric rod, valve operating block, glands, crosshead, crankshaft bearings.

Steel: Crankshaft, crankwebbs, eccentric sheave, crosshead pin, piston and valve rods.

Length: 6 Inches.

Flywheel: 3 Inch Diameter.

Bore: 3/4 Inch.

Stroke: 3/4 Inch.

To power the engine with live steam, connect it to one of our Model Steam Boilers. A copper steam pipe can be provided to connect to either a Stuart or one of our boilers.
