Single Cylinder Vertical
Gas/Petrol Model IC Engine
Complete and Ready to Run

The single cylinder vertical engine made by Microcosm, China, is a simple design, yet retains the basic mechanics of early internal combustion (gas/petrol) engines which powered many workshops, factories and farms in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

The engine's inlet and outlet valves are operated by push rods, speed is adjusted by a carburettor, is air cooled by a fan operated from the crank, is "closed crank" with sump for oil lubrication and has a small fuel tank.

This engine has a heavy steel flywheel to ensure smooth operation at relatively low speeds.

The included ignition system is powered by a 4.5V battery pack (batteries not included), has solid state ignition module and hall effect points. Also included is a starter shaft for electric drill and instructions.
