Chiltern Model Steam Engine Boilers are complete with all the fittings needed to power our own and other model steam engines. The Live Steam boiler just needs to be connected to the engine and supplied with a Propane/Butane gas supply (optional gas and steam pipes are available).

The horizontal 4 inch model live steam engine boiler has been professionally manufactured to the highest standards. The manufacturer is a leading provider of model steam boilers with over 20 years experience.

The boiler is a gas fired Horizontal Centre Flue Boiler and can be used generally to power either stationary engines or for marine applications/boats - Chiltern Model Steam Twin Cylinder engines or two twin oscillating engines. Generally suitable for twin cylinder steam engines up to approx. 19 mm bore or single cylinder steam engines up to approx. 1" bore.

The price includes the boiler fittings; Ceramic Burner, Safety Valve, Water Level Gauge and Pressure Gauge with syphon tube.

The boiler is hand made of silver soldered construction in copper and brass and features:

• 38mm dia. internal fire tube with 8 cross tubes giving excellent heat transfer from the burner
• 28mm dia. ceramic element burner
• Top mounted dome with connections for the steam outlet valve and pressure gauge
• Adjustable safety valve
• Top mounted bush with knurled plug for filling the boiler 
• Water Level Gauge with blowdown valve
• Front bush for connecting an optional clack valve/water feed pump
• Authentic appearance cast boiler mountings
• Removable Brass chimney/flue

Each boiler is hydraulically tested to twice its working pressure, pneumatically to its working pressure and comes with a test certificate and operating instructions.
